Vegan Pride!

I don't usually "act all fanatical" and all, but those who get to know me well eventually find out that I'm a longtime vegan. Which means that the scarves that I design, knit or crochet and sell are vegan, too. In other words, I use only soft, cruelty free, designer, vintage or novelty yarns; no silk, allergenic wool/mohair or any other animal fibers.

There are plenty of other folks who have a shop on Etsy who are vegan and only sell vegan products. We recently formed a team to celebrate Vegan Etsy and help fellow vegans support vegan business. Scarves in Time for Valentine's Day--On Sale, Too!

Okay, I'm in a good mood, feelin' rich, have had great sales this week on and off my online shop at http://cricketscreations.etsy.com/.

Any Peter Pan fans out there? Then you'll remember when Tiger Lily, the Indian Princess, exclaims to Peter Pan, "You're the sun, moon & the stars!"

I'm a member of EtsyFAST (for weavers, spinners, knitters, crocheters, etc), as well as EtsyVeg (for vegetarians/vegans) who have shops on Etsy), UtahEtsy (that one's obvious, right, since I live in Utah?), and EtsyforAnimals (sales benefit animal charities).

But I'm new and never expected the warm welcome I've received from fellow EtsyFAST members. We're supposed to be competing, right? Not! We're there to support one another, help fuel the desire for handmade items, and provide information about our craft. Pretty neat, huh?
