We found our dream house right here in Kanab! It needs a ton of work (that we're tackling night and day) because it's
never been finished, it has flood damage inside and it's been abandoned
for 5 of the 6 years since it was built, but.... WE FOUND AND BOUGHT OUR
DREAM HOME on foreclosure (which is the only way that we were able to
afford it, lol)!!
It's on almost 3 acres and there's plenty of studio
room for everything Crickets. Wanna see some photos (some of these were taken BEFORE the flood damage, but you get the general idea)??

If only the yard still looked this good (now it's high weeds)!
|
|
The main floor front door...love the archways! :)
|
|
This is the 2-story-high great room with picture windows and indoor balcony
|
|
What's this?! Plenty of kitchen cabinets?! :D
|
|
My fave part: Master bath with soaker tub and FIREPLACE!!
|
Thanks for joining us...now you've seen most of the main floor (there's also an upstairs and a basement), more pics will be coming later. :)
I love the fireplace in the bathroom. Beautiful house! I still say there's room for my studio.....
ReplyDeleteYes, there's plenty of room for your studio, Karen! ;)
ReplyDeleteCeleste ~ I am so excited and happy for you both ~ your new home looks wonderful with so much open space!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy!
Hugs ~ Judy Liz
Thank you, Judy Elizabeth! We are so grateful that the opportunity came up to buy it at a price that we could afford!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness!!! Your new home is BEAUTIFUL, Celeste!!! How exciting for y'all! How absolutely gorgeous!! And you know, even the labor that you will have to put in it, just makes it more yours. Enjoy your re-newing in your cleaning up and making back to beautiful again. What a fun adventure!
ReplyDeleteAnd too, I love your wild burros! I must say I'm jealous!!! I know that they've already stolen your heart... because they've already stolen mine with just a picture all across the multitude of miles!
Mighty blessings to you and your husband, dear girl!
Thank you for your incredible and heartfelt comment, Sharon! :D We count our blessings each day (including that we are surrounded by such wonderful people like yourself) {{hugs}}
ReplyDeleteCeleste, what a beautiful home !! I love all the open space, from what you said you have work ahead of you, but in the end it will be worth the labor of love, I know your creativity will make it outstanding !! I love your new family additions, how fun !! I keep telling my husband I want some pygmy goats, maybe someday !! LOL !! Wishing you much happiness and success in your new home !! Ruth Ann
ReplyDeleteRuth Ann, if you're ever in Kanab, UT then please look me up...I can show you the giant herd of goats that live on city property (I think they might be pygmies, they're really short?!) and will follow you around bleating at you! ;)
ReplyDeleteWe can fill that baby up with more dogs and cats- no problem. :) Enjoy!!!
ReplyDeleteHa ha ha ha, I'll bet! :D We did adopt two wild burros (who are taming up nicely), they moved to the new property before we did!
